UBI AI Project Hub
Established in Covilhã, Portugal — 3 February 2026
Located in Covilhã, Portugal, the Hub is part of a growing European Alliance of AI Project Hubs — connected by shared standards, ethical principles, and a belief that the future of project development is both intelligent and human.
Establishment of the UBI & NECE AI Project Hub
Established through a strategic partnership between Universidade da Beira Interior and WinCode Predictive, the Hub marks a new chapter in how European projects are designed, evaluated, and developed.
It presents a strategic centre of excellence for AI-powered project development, advanced education, and innovation, through a formal partnership between Universidade da Beira Interior, the NECE Research Centre, and WinCode Predictive.
The Hub represents a new institutional model that integrates academic rigour, applied research, and responsible artificial intelligence into the full lifecycle of project design, evaluation, and management. It is grounded in the shared conviction that AI must strengthen human judgement, not replace it, and that innovation in project development requires both technological intelligence and human collaboration.
Located in Covilhã, Portugal, the Hub serves as a platform for:
● advancing AI-supported methodologies for European project writing,
● developing evaluator-grade project logic aligned with EU funding priorities,
● fostering interdisciplinary research at the intersection of education, innovation, and AI,
● and building international capacity through training, mentorship, and institutional partnerships.
The UBI & NECE AI Project Hub is embedded within a growing European network of AI Project Hubs, committed to high academic standards, ethical AI use, and long-term sustainability. Through this initiative, UBI, NECE, and WinCode Predictive jointly affirm their role in shaping the future of responsible AI use in project development, research, and education.
